Oakland and San Francisco tutors,

Here are the dates that did not show in the previous post.  I hope to see as many of you at each of these as possible.  Please RSVP soon!

OAKLAND:

Volunteer Mixer –  July 10th, 12:30-2:30pm at Age Song:  Lake Merritt (1800 Madison Street, Oakland)

Come mingle with your fellow Oakland volunteer members and help us welcome some new faces.

Mini Literacy Training – July 18th, 10am-1:30pm, 150 Frank Ogawa Plaza (Floor 4, Room 1).  Come to one, two, or all three.

  • 10-11am – Book Lists and Literacy Games/Handouts
  • 11:15am-12:15pm – Behavior and Relationship Building
  • 12:30pm-1:30pm – Sight Words and Vocabulary Practice

ECBA Ambassadors – July 24th, 10am-12pm, Age Song:  Lake Merritt (1800 Madison Street, Oakland)

Learn how to help ECBA serve more students by sharing your story with others.

Back To School Training – August 23rd, 1-3pm, 150 Frank Ogawa Plaza (Floor 4, Room 1)

Refresh your skills, or learn new techniques as we get back into the groove of the school year.

    Hope you had a good trip. Are there going to be similar training sessions for San Rafael?
    Can we connect this summer to put together some book lists for San Rafael Tutors, with plan to review the books with tuors
    for use next year? (sounds like that is what you are doing with SF group)
